A 'Family' Tree

A

'Should old acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind?
Should old acquaintance be forgot, and old lang syne?
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne.
We'll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.
And surely you'll buy your pint cup!
and surely I'll buy mine!'

Little Red Riding Hood....

Sparrow is going to be the CUTEST Little Red Riding Hood EVER!
It's been a long time since I've sewn a costume,(or anything for that matter) so we won't talk about all the mistakes I made!

New View

On Saturday,  J & M took out our 2 atrium doors (old & leaky), and we replaced them with a slider, and 2 new smaller windows on either side.  We thought it would feel less open, but it doesn't...not at all.  I'm really diggin' it. It's not done yet, (trim, paint, etc), but you get the idea.

Rainbow

On my way home from work last night, it was raining SO hard I honestly could barely see.  After stopping to play with Sparrow Pie for a little bit, i left for home.  By the time I got to the top of our hil, the sun was shining, and this fabulous rainbow stretched out in front of me.  It was the biggest, brightest rainbow I've ever seen!  There was actually a double rainbow, but the smaller one was much lighter and my camera didn't pick it up.

Stevenson Dam, CT

Torrential Rains from the tale end of Hurricane Lee (I think it was a hurricane), tons of rain either way, resulted in opening the flood gates.  Many houses were flooded out down river.

Lobster, salad, corn on the cob and vino!
This little old house has been for sale for YEARS. It's absolutely adorable, but unfortunately sits on a very busy road.  I'm sure when it was built, back in the 1800's it was the perfect place!  The Pootatuck river runs right behind it.  I wish someone would buy it and love it again!

About Me

ct, United States
Hi, I'm Priscilla. This blog is basically a diary, in photos, so that i might capture tiny pieces of time...that pass, far too quickly...and the older i get, the faster time passes. So here's a little bit about me: I live in Southern New England, (one of the worlds most beautiful places,in my opinion) I'm a Mom of 3, and grandma to 1 beautiful little girl. I love my kids, my grandaughter & my husband, more than anything in the world, BUT...there ARE other things I LOVE too...like pizza! & summertime & ice cold beer & red wine...brisk Autumn days, sitting by the fireplace, old houses, stone walls, flea markets, second hand shops, old painted furniture, decorating (and then redecorating). Warm sunny mornings on the porch, Earl Grey tea, and sultry late afternoons at the beach, and taking pictures. And Last, but by no means least, home.
