Fairfield, CT High School Football Team

This is a picture of my dad (front row 2nd in from lft), with his highschool football team. I'm guessing he was anywhere from 16 to 18 years old. He was born in 1901, so i would guess this was taken around 1917 or so.

Seymour, CT late 1800's

This is not my 'home town', but it is my town right now. I love seeing pictures of how things used to be...I would have loved to have lived in those times!

Coyote

I know it's hard to see the coyote, but he was just beautiful :) This was taken on my way home from work. If my camera wasn't buried in my bag, i could have gotten a much closer picture.
Behind that barn are acres and acres of beautiful fields where I walk my dog...I love it there...it's so peaceful.

Cupboard Styles

I'm in research mode to find a cupboard for my kitchen, (to replace my old hoosier that I gave to little Lil) ...
these are pics of some styles I like.
The blue one was for sale on Craigslist...but the others are pics I found online.
I love love love, the style of the white and green one, and I would scoff it up in a heartbeat if I could only find one like it!
I also really like the look/feel of the pine hutch with glass doors....I think I really need to have doors up top.

Out with the old....

time for me to say goodbye to my lovely old Hoosier...
No matter where I moved, this piece of furniture
immediately made my new surroundings feel like
home!
Although it's no longer in my kitchen, it has a very prominent spot
in little lentil's new home!
For now, my glasses & linens are living in the cabinet below.

The hunt for a new, 'old' kitchen cupboard is on..how fun!

About Me

ct, United States
Hi, I'm Priscilla. This blog is basically a diary, in photos, so that i might capture tiny pieces of time...that pass, far too quickly...and the older i get, the faster time passes. So here's a little bit about me: I live in Southern New England, (one of the worlds most beautiful places,in my opinion) I'm a Mom of 3, and grandma to 1 beautiful little girl. I love my kids, my grandaughter & my husband, more than anything in the world, BUT...there ARE other things I LOVE too...like pizza! & summertime & ice cold beer & red wine...brisk Autumn days, sitting by the fireplace, old houses, stone walls, flea markets, second hand shops, old painted furniture, decorating (and then redecorating). Warm sunny mornings on the porch, Earl Grey tea, and sultry late afternoons at the beach, and taking pictures. And Last, but by no means least, home.
